I have now graded 2 of the junior themes. The first one was good. She's a smart kid...the errors she made were totally understandable due to the fact she was out with "The Pink Eye" on peer editing day.
The second one has made me want to either re-evaluate my career choice....or to drink. Heavily.
There are far too many errors...I'm grading with purple (so as to not crush their little psyches) and it looks like Barney was eviscerated on this child's paper.
I have 38 more to go before Monday.
