Healing Thru Hibernation

I think I might make it. It was touch and go there for awhile Saturday...I was convinced the Ears of Fire and the SloshySinuses were going to be the end of me.

So, after I got home from breakfast with Hellion, I hibernated.

And when I say "hibernated," I mean

...I haven't left my house in in 43 hours.

(Except for a 4 minute period when I went outside to release GarytheGecko back into the wild. But that's another story.)

...deciding that impaired balance and bodythermostat malfunctions were not going to be conducive to wearing a graduation robe and escorting children UP ONTO A STAGE in front of 5,000 people...I didn't even go to graduation.

...I have spoken to very few humans. The bulk of my contact has been via IM, email, or textmessaging. (I didn't even post on my blog yesterday...shocking!)

My public will be glad to know that I am feeling better....as evidenced by:
~I woke up this morning being mostly able to breathe...
~I am joining blogland again...
~I am actually noticing that my house looks as if a violent crime occurred here...
~I am wondering what other humans are doing...
~I am actually considering running some errands before the rest of the world gets up and around...
~I am looking forward to my previously postponed pilgrimage to see the parents...
~I am glad I brought my binder for my speech class home so I can plan for summer school...
~I have been pre-planning my trip to gymnastics camp to pick up The Bug...
~I'm contemplating clearing out the guest bedroom closet so I can get to my scrapbook supplies...

I need to remember that, next year when I tell myself I can't miss school until Junior Theme is over...I need to make sure I am taking all the health precautions along the way. Otherwise, I am going to make it to the end of the year and lose an entire weekend to recuperating.

(By the way, if you have never heard of the magic that is the "sinus rinse"...and you are prone to sinus infections...then you are missing out. Granted, it is an incredibly unattractive procedure, but does wonders to keeping a sinus infection from taking hold. I highly recommend it.)

I wish you a fan-tabulous Memorial Day. If you are, or have been, a member of our Armed Forces...please know that you have my unwavering respect, appreciation, and support. It is because you are out there sacrificing yourself to defend my freedom and security that I am able to concentrate on molding the young minds in my classroom. Thank you.
